  5. A common use of the videokeratoscopes is to follow changes in the corneal curvature over time such as with adaptation to contact lenses, changes with orthokeratology, progression of keratoconus or following corneal surgery.

  7. The software with the instruments allow two images to be subtracted so that the difference between the two maps can be displayed.  This allows for a quick analysis 
  8. of the difference between 
  9. two readings.  In this case 
  10. the dioptric values 
  11. represent the difference 
  12. between the maps.

  14. The difference map can be 
  15. displayed by itself or along 
  16. with the original maps.
